Three new cannabis dispensaries are set to open in Tompkins County, bringing the total to six since legal sales began in March 2023.
The Highly Connected on Franklin Street, Collegetown Dispensary on Dryden Road, and Upstate Haze in Dryden are expected to open within the next three months. The Highly Connected, operated by Wendy Matesanz and her husband, will offer exclusive products due to their industry connections.
Upstate Haze, owned by James Steiner Jr. and Riley Rynone, aims to integrate deeply into the community by growing its own cannabis locally.
Meanwhile, Collegetown Dispensary plans to open in August, coinciding with the start of Cornell’s academic year. The store will emphasize education about cannabis products to dispel misinformation.
