Seneca Falls police say a local woman was arrested for animal neglect after a welfare check last week.
Kelli J. Minery, 19, of Seneca Falls, was arrested on July 25, 2024, following a welfare check that revealed she was not providing adequate care for her dog. The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department reported that Minery failed to provide proper sustenance and maintained inadequate living conditions for the animal.
Minery was charged under the Agriculture and Market Law for failing to provide proper sustenance and was issued an appearance ticket. The dog was seized by authorities to ensure its well-being.
Minery is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date. The case underscores the importance of animal welfare and responsible pet ownership in the community.
