Police: Seneca Falls man arrested for assault and violating court order

Seneca Falls police arrested a local man after an investigation into assault and a violated court order.

Seth R. Taylor, 20, of Seneca Falls, was arrested on August 2, 2024, after a domestic disturbance where he allegedly struck a victim in the face, violating an active order of protection. The incident occurred around 8:29 p.m., prompting a response from the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department.

Upon police arrival, Taylor attempted to flee and resisted arrest. He was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree, and second-degree harassment. Taylor was taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for arraignment.

Authorities have requested a new order of protection for the victim. Taylor is scheduled to appear in court, where he will face the charges.
