  • Staff Report

Cameron L. Manley, 21, of Keuka Park, has been arrested following a multi-agency investigation into false 911 emergency reports. Manley allegedly used a safety app to report a fake active shooter at the Hampton Inn on Keuka Lake, an armed burglary, and impersonated a Yates County Sheriff’s Deputy to report a false “officer in need of assistance” call.

Additionally, Manley is accused of submitting false debt collection invoices. On April 1, the Village of Penn Yan was notified of a $1,000 overdue bill for services never rendered, linked to Manley’s company, Bubble Social Media LTD.

Manley faces multiple charges, including Falsely Reporting an Incident and Criminal Impersonation. He was arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court and released on his own recognizance. The Penn Yan Police, along with several other agencies, continue to investigate related false 911 calls.
