An off-road vehicle crash in the Village of Sodus sent two people to the hospital Wednesday night, including one who was airlifted due to multiple injuries.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Dean Lanning of Sodus was operating an all-terrain vehicle with passenger Amber Woodhams, 26, of Naples, when the ATV struck a fallen tree and overturned. Both were ejected from the vehicle.
Lanning was flown by Mercy Flight to Rochester’s Strong Memorial Hospital. Woodhams was transported by Williamson EMS to the same hospital. Officials said both sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. Sodus Fire, Wayne County EMS, Williamson EMS, and Mercy Flight assisted at the scene.
