Earlier this week, Harold G. Warner, 36, of Corning was arrested by deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office after contraband was discovered in a holding cell at the Steuben County Jail. Warner allegedly concealed suspected methamphetamine on his person during the booking process.
Warner was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, a class A felony, and Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree, a class D felony. Following his arraignment in the Centralized Arraignment Court, Warner was held without bail.
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reported the incident, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to maintain safety and security within the jail.
