Police: Canandaigua man throws kid’s bike into stream, forcing them to fish it out

Canandaigua police arrested a local man following a suspicious condition in a stream that runs between Bristol and Chapin streets in the city.

Tyler Degaugh, 38, was arrested for criminal mischief after an investigation determined that juveniles were attempting to retrieve a bicycle.

The charges stemmed from Degaugh throwing the bike into the stream. The bike was also damaged because it landed on a rock.

He was located, arrested, and issued an appearance ticket for a later date.
