Canandaigua police say a local man resisted arrest and obstructed emergency medical services after he protested the arrest of another person.
According to a news release, Brett Arden, 35, was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing emergency medical services after arriving at CPD headquarters to protest the arrest of an acquaintance.
Arden parked his vehicle in the right of way at the entrance/exit to the police department parking lot, which prevented an ambulance from leaving.
After being told he was under arrest for disorderly conduct, Arden then resisted. The charges will be answered at a later date.
