Early on Sunday Roy K. Kane, 23, of Seneca Falls was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a routine traffic stop. The incident occurred at 1:15 a.m. on State Route 89, where Kane was initially stopped for not adhering to a stop sign.
During the traffic stop, it was determined that Kane was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher, leading to charges including driving while intoxicated and failing to stop at a stop sign.
Kane was processed and subsequently released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
