Police say a Penn Yan man was arrested for DWI following an erratic driver complaint that was made as a driver entered the village on April 14.
According to a news release, Joseph Scalpi, 45, of Penn Yan was arrested for DWI and failure to keep right.
Those charges stem from an incident on Liberty Street, where he was ultimately stopped. Police recognized several factors that suggested he was intoxicated, which resulted in field sobriety tests.
He failed those tests and was ultimately arrested for DWI and released. The charges will be answered at a later date.
