The Cornell University Police Department (CUPD) reported a series of burglaries in campus dorm rooms this past week, with incidents on both north and west campuses raising concerns among students and staff. According to CUPD, a wallet was stolen from an unsecured room in Ganedago Hall on Triphammer Road on Wednesday afternoon, between 1:15 and 1:45 p.m. The room’s occupant was away at the time of the theft, and no suspect has been identified.

A second incident occurred on Thursday evening between 6:52 and 11:00 pm in Boldt Hall on University Avenue, where a pair of Apple Air Pods Max headphones was taken from a secured dorm room. Like the first incident, the room’s occupant was not present, and police have yet to provide any description of a suspect.

CUPD has urged the campus community to enhance security measures by locking doors and windows when unattended and to report any suspicious activity. They provided a contact number, 607-255-1111, for tips related to these crimes and encouraged using the RAVE Guardian app for immediate reports.
