Lockport woman charged with murder in Genesee County

  • / Updated:
  • Staff Report

Kathryn “Kat” Henry, a resident of Lockport, has been charged with murder by Genesee County Sheriff’s deputies. She is accused of conspiring with another individual to kill 59-year-old Michael Poole and conceal his body. Poole, from Olcott, was discovered deceased in the Town of Alabama on March 19, after being reported missing in Niagara County.

In addition to murder, Henry faces charges of assault and concealing a human corpse. The investigation led to her arrest as evidence pointed to a planned crime involving her and an accomplice.

Authorities have indicated that charges are also expected against another suspect currently detained on unrelated charges. This case continues to develop as law enforcement works to provide justice for the victim and his family.
