The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of two people following an assault investigation.
Steven Austin, 35, and Wayne Demay, 53, both of Wolcott were arrested for assault after an incident on February 13.
According to a news release, the duo assaulted a person at a residence on West Main Street following a verbal altercation.
The victim was treated at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse for treatment of their injuries.
About a week after the assault, deputies located both Demay and Austin taking the two into custody.
