An Auburn man has been sentenced to prison for an assault that happened at a bar last year.
Prosecutors say 40-year-old Gregory Jordan has been handed a five-year prison sentence followed by three years of post-release supervision for assaulting a bar employee in 2022.
The Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that the incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. on May 29 at Swifty’s Bar on Perrine Street.
During the altercation, Jordan inflicted a knife wound over three inches long on the victim’s neck. In May 2023, Jordan was convicted of the violent felony.
