On Sunday police arrested an Auburn man on charges including a felony following a domestic incident last weekend.

Ryan M. Key, 39, was arrested by police following an investigation into a domestic incident that took place on July 4.

Key stands accused of engaging in a physical altercation with a family member at their residence in Seneca Falls, during which he recklessly endangered the safety of a minor by placing his hands around their neck and applying pressure.

Key was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal obstruction of breathing.

Furthermore, due to a prior conviction for a qualifying offense within the past five years, Key was additionally charged with the felony count of aggravated family offense.

After he was taken into custody he was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to wait centralized arraignment. An order of protection has been requested on behalf of the victim.
