The cause of the fire that destroyed Ferrara Lumber in Seneca Falls is still under investigation, according to state officials.
That said, it looks like there could be some progress on-site, as clean-up appears to be moving forward.
Sessler Wrecking Company has moved some demolition equipment onto the property.
The former store, lumber yard, and showroom has sat largely untouched since the July 3rd fire that devastated it.
Ferrara Lumber quickly rebounded, opening a location on Rumsey Street in Seneca Falls. That location has quickly filled the void briefly left by its closure, serving contractors and residents alike through the summer and fall months.
Local officials directed FingerLakes1.com to state fire investigators, who declined to comment on the status of the investigation.
