The Livingston County Board of Supervisors has appointed Jaclyn Woollett as the County’s Training and Professional Development Coordinator.
A newly formed position, the Training and Professional Development Coordinator will be responsible for creating, implementing, monitoring, sourcing and facilitating County-wide training, learning and development activities that align with the County’s strategic plan and various human resources and administrative initiatives.
Woollett comes to the County after having recently served as Grant Coordinator with Genesee Valley Health Partnership where she developed, implemented and evaluated workplans and budgets related to the New York State Office of Rural Health grant. In addition, she provided marketing support through social media, newsletters, press releases and other communication strategies to maximize the reach of Genesee Valley Health Partnership.

Prior to her time at GVHP, Woollett, who has over a decade of experience working in public health, served as the Executive Director at the Institute for Human Services where she was responsible for the oversight of a multi-service member organization that provided management support services and more for health and human service agencies throughout the Southern Tier. In addition, Woollett served in a leadership capacity with the Steuben Rural Health Network and previously worked for the County as its Disease Control and Preparedness Specialist and as a Public Health Educator.
In addition, Woollett has worked in higher education having served as adjunct faculty with Monroe Community College, Cornell University and American Public University.
Woollett earned a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Brockport in Health Science and would go on to obtain a Master’s degree in Public Health from American Public University. Additionally, she received a Doctorate in Public Health from Walden University in 2017. She has an extensive background in development and education, which she said she’ll use to further the County’s strategic initiatives.
“As the incoming Training and Professional Development Coordinator, I look forward to creating a robust program for County employees to acquire new skills, sharpen existing ones and cultivate leadership qualities,” she said. “I am grateful to County Administrator Coyle and the Board of Supervisors for the opportunity to serve Livingston County in this leading-edge focus. It is an exciting time to be a part of the County and I can’t wait to get started!”
Woollett will begin in her new role on Monday, October 17th.
