Generations Bank welcomes Rick Newman as the community event coordinator, a new position created as part of Generations Bank’s commitment to the community.

“As a local bank, we are always looking for ways to get involved in our community and support the efforts of local non-profits,” said Derek Dyson, SVP – Chief Information Officer. “We’re excited to welcome Rick, an experienced event coordinator and community advocate, who will help us to further deliver on our promise to serve the local area.”

Newman previously held positions at the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce and, most recently, worked as the marketing and event coordinator at Seneca Lake Resorts, a division of Sessler Companies. While with Seneca Lake Resorts, he developed and implemented the sales and marketing initiatives for Seneca Lake Resorts while coordinating all “Live at The Vista” music events with local entertainment and food vendors.

Newman brings ten years of experience in the marketing and tourism industries. His event management experience ranges from annual dinners, live music shows, community events and more.

Originally from Cortland, NY, Rick graduated from Homer High School and attended Keuka College, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.
