Phelps man arrested for felony DWI with children in car

Authorities say a Phelps man was arrested for felony DWI after an incident with a child in the car.

Jeremy E. Schulling, 29, was arrested on June 4 for felony DWI, aggravated DWI, and Leandra’s Law DWI, according to the Waterloo Police Department.


Police stopped Schulling for speeding, alleging he drove 55 mph in a 30 mph zone. They found him intoxicated with a BAC of 0.22%, nearly three times the legal limit, and with two young children in the vehicle.

Schulling received several traffic tickets and is set to appear in the Town of Fayette Court at a later date.
