Deputies made a felony arrest after a crash in Wayne County over the weekend.
Aubrey Stapleton, 35, of Macedon, was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office after a crash on Mildahn Road. Deputies charged her with felony DWI and unsafe lane change.
Stapleton was driving eastbound when she failed to navigate a curve, hitting a culvert and utility pole. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and failed field sobriety tests at the scene. Assistance was provided by the Macedon Police Department, West Walworth Fire Department, and Western Wayne Ambulance.
After being released from the hospital, Stapleton refused a chemical test and was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. She is set to appear in the Town of Walworth Court for further proceedings.
