When will my Social Security check arrive?
The Social Security Administration(SSA) sends out payments on three different days throughout the month. The payments typically go out on Wednesdays, the second third, ad fourth one of each month. The first payment for July goes out tomorrow, and the maximum benefit is $4,194.
Which day you receive the payment depends on your birthday. The payment schedule for July is as follows:
- July 13- people whose birthdays fall between the the 1st-10th
- July 20- those with birthdays between the 11th- 20th
- July 27- payment for people with birthdays between the 21st- 31st
In May 2022, 65.6 million Americans received Social Security payments. In total, about nearly $101.1 million was paid out. The average monthly payment was only $1,539. However, the amount you’ll receive may differ based on how much you’ve worked and earned during your career. If you delay claiming, your benefit could be increased down the line.
