The Artworks Gallery will hold an Oil Pastel Painting Workshop on Saturday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gallery located at 109 Fall Street in downtown Seneca Falls.
Workshop instructor Roberta Nelson says, “Oil pastels are soft oil based sticks that can be easily blended with swabs, tortillions, fingers, and baby oil to create realistic works resembling oil paintings. They can be worked from light to dark or dark to light. The focus of the class will be using various drawing and blending techniques to create textures and three-dimensional form. Any subject matter can be used.”
