Stimulus: $150 gas stimulus cards available TODAY

Residents in one city are lucky enough to potentially receive a $150 stimulus gas card to help offset rising gas prices.

There will be 50,000 gas cards available loaded with $150.

The cards will go out via lottery system in the city of Chicago.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot pushed to pass the measure to help residents that struggle amid gas inflation.

Eligibility for stimulus gas cards

There are a few requirements to be able to receive a gas card in the city of Chicago.

First, you must be a resident of the city.

Next, you need to be at least 18 years old.

You need a city sticker and correct mailing address for your vehicle.

Finally, your household income must be at or below 140% of the AMI for Chicago.

Applying for gas stimulus

You can apply through the Chicago city council website.

The cards are being handed out with a lottery system.

One application per household is accepted.

In addition to these cards, 100,000 cards loaded with $50 are being given for public transportation.
