Police arrest a Newark man following a drug investigation.

According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gregory Parker, 58, of Newark for criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The arrest stems from an arrest warrant that was issued after Parker failed to appear in court for the charge.

Parker was transported to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment.
