There are only a few days left for the UBI program in New York State that pays artists $1,000 per month.
Those who qualify can expect the payments to last for 18 months.
The program is called the Creatives Rebuild New York initiative.

How to qualify for the UBI program
You must be 18 or older with a permanent residence in the state of New York.
Your income must be below the program’s self sufficiency standard, which includes the cost of housing, food, transportation, and childcare.
The following art forms are accepted
- craft
- dance
- design
- film
- literary arts
- media arts
- music
- oral traditions
- social practice
- theater
- performance arts
- traditional arts
- visual arts
- interdisciplinary arts
Things like culinary arts, architecture, and event planning do not count under this program.

Accuracy of your information must be proven with documentation.
You’ll be provided with what to do next if you’re selected by April 15.
