Police report the arrest of a Palmyra woman following an investigation into a suspicious condition.
According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Aleighna L. Bushart, 30, of Palmyra after responding to a suspicious condition.
It was alleged that Bushart was going door-to-door in Palmyra looking for assistance. Upon investigation, it was found that Bushart had driven her car off the road and left the scene on foot while intoxicated. She refused roadside field sobriety tests and refused to submit a chemical test to determine her blood alcohol content. Bushart was arrested for driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation, speed not reasonable and prudent, and moving from lane unsafely.
Bushart will appear in the Palmyra Town Court at a later date to answer charges.
