2021 was an exciting return to championship golf in New York State, after a full season of cancellations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The NYSGA resumed a full tournament schedule which included all seventeen NYSGA championship titles.
Thirteen players won their first state titles including James Allen, Chelsea Dantonio, Scott Dean, Anthony Delisanti, Michael Dwyer, Karen Feldman, Emily Gresham, Patricia Mayne, Jacob Olearczyk, Carl Schimenti, Chris Sorci, Michael Stopera and Julia Zigrossi.
Nine others reclaimed a past title or captured a new one including Mark Battle, Kyra Cox, Kim Kaul, Mary Jo Kelly, Jamie Miller, Dan Russo, Christy Schultz, Kevin Webb, and Lisa Webb.
The 2021 schedule was hosted by a group of New York’s top clubs including Brook-Lea Country Club, Lakeshore Yacht & Country Club, Leatherstocking Golf Course, Pinehaven Country Club, Powelton Club, Shaker Ridge Country Club, Schuyler Meadows Club, Seven Oaks Golf Club, and Teugega Country Club.
