Steuben County Jail inmate accused of intentionally damaging cell door window

A Steuben County Jail inmate has been accused of intentionally damaging a window in a cell door.


Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on December 16, 2021, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kenneth R. Mikko, Jr., age 34, of  Bath, New York, following an investigation of a report of a broken window in a cell door in the Steuben County Jail.  It is alleged that Mr. Mikko, an inmate in the jail, intentionally damaged a cell door window by repeatedly striking it with a food tray.  Mr. Mikko was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a class E Felony.

Mr. Mikko was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and returned to the custody of the Sheriff.
