Some Americans will be lucky enough to see some extra cash right before the holiday season.
Many states have taken on the responsibility of helping out some of their low income residents.
While a federal stimulus check doesn’t look like it’s going to be coming anytime soon, local governments have created their own programs to decide who qualifies and what they’ll be paid.

The following states are all paying some residents stimulus cash
Arizona has created a back to work program for their jobless residents.
If they return to work part time, they’re eligible for $1,000. If they return to work full time, they can get $2,000.
California is in the middle of sending out their Golden State Stimulus II checks to eligible residents.
Those that filed their 2020 taxes by Oct. 15 and make between $30,000 and $75,000 will see a check worth $600 or $1,100 depending on their household.

Connecticut created a back to work program as well.
This program is paying people who return to work between May 30, 2021 and Dec. 31, 2021 $1,000.
Residents need to have obtained a job and things like how long you were on unemployment or when you filed are taken into account.
Florida and Georgia are giving teachers and principals that worked through the pandemic $1,000 payments.
Idaho residents may be entitled to a one time tax rebate for $248.

Maryland residents who filed for earned income tax credit were able to get checks worth $300 and $500.
New Hampshire families of three with no income were sent checks worth $1,086.
In New Mexico, applications for relief benefits were reopened to those who could not qualify in Aug. for the $750 checks.
Ohio students may see financial relief with the $46 million set aside for grants.

$13 million was earmarked in Oklahoma to pay their student teachers.
Tennessee passed a law that would give $500-$1,000 bonuses to part time and full time teachers and public school employees.
Vermont will cover up to $7,500 in moving expenses for those relocating to the state for hospitality or construction employment.
