The following press release was announced from the Village of Newark:

The Laurel House Comfort Care Home 5K run and BBQ fundraiser was held on June 12, 2021. In appreciation of assistance with the 5K Run throughout Newark, Laurel House donated some EXCELLENT pulled pork for officers at Newark Police Department. Police Officers Brandon Salerno & Matt Colacino graciously accepted this donation on behalf of all the officers who continue to enjoy this meal. THANK YOU!
