A couple major, long-term items are on the agenda tonight for the Waterloo Village Board.
The Finger Lakes Times reports that the Board will take another look at a joint-fire district, which was first discussed last year between the Village of Waterloo and Towns of Fayette and Waterloo. They will also consider what’s next for the Locust Street Bridge. The Village won a grant from Bridge NY to design and construct a replacement to the Locust St. bridge, which has been shuttered for several years.
It was built in 1915 but was closed due to safety concerns. Among the items to be discussed with the new bridge, would be making it pedestrian-only.
