Public health officials in Yates County said that despite cold and wind – the drive-thru testing clinic that was held at the Dundee Firehouse was a success.
Officials said in a post to Facebook that they tested 146 people in less than two hours. “We could not have held this without the help from our wonderful MRC volunteers, Office of Emergency Management staff, and our wonderful partner Finger Lakes Community Health and Ellen Hey for her expertise and guidance,” they said. “A special thank you to the Dundee Fire Department and staff for letting us use their facility and making hot coffee for us!”
Another free testing event is slated for Tuesday, January 5th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will also be held at the Dundee Firehouse.
Officials say a registration link will be posted soon, but isn’t available yet.
