The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the investigation of a crash that sent one man to the hospital with injuries.
Michael Venishel, 62, of Williamson was traveling east on Lake Road when a deer entered the roadway running north.
He attempted to avoid the deer, but during the crash – the seat belt locked up – causing chest pain and difficulty breathing.
Deputies say the 62-year-old was sent to Strong Memorial Hospital. The Sodus Fire Department and Sodus Town Ambulance assisted at the scene.
