Change is coming in the village of Manchester.
Manchester Mayor Nancy Johnsen will not seek re-election. Although Johnsen admitted to the Canandaigua Messenger that she never expected her stay in office to last this long.
She was first appointed to the mayoral seat in 2007, and has served in village government for more than 30 years.
Johnsen said she will miss village employees, residents, and the people she served throughout the years.
“The DPW and the clerks are a huge benefit to the village. Their hard work makes the Village Board look good,” Johnsen told MPNNow.com. “I want to thank the village residents for allowing me to serve as mayor for all these years.”
