Seneca Falls man accused of stealing firearm from car

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of a 47-year-old man following a rifle theft.

Craig Hooper, 47, of Seneca Falls was arrested after a larceny investigation where a person entered a vehicle at night and took a rifle.

Police say that through investigation, and after the victim reported the rifle missing – Hooper was identified as the suspect.



Police made contact with Hooper at his home, and he was taken into custody. The firearm was located at his residence.

Police say Hooper was charged with grand larceny, a felony. He was processed and released on an appearance ticket.

The charge will be answered at a later date.
