Burger 'n' Bar has opened inside The Hotel Ithaca at 222 S. Cayuga St., adding breakfast and dinner service for hotel guests and other downtown diners.
The restaurant serves burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups and other tavern-style dishes, according to a release from the Downtown Ithaca Alliance. The hotel's dining page also lists a full-service bar and describes the menu as including burgers and comfort food.
Breakfast is available daily from 6:30 to 11 a.m. Dinner is served Monday through Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. The release did not list Sunday dinner hours.
The restaurant is inside the hotel rather than a separate storefront. Its opening gives downtown residents and visitors another place to eat as well as a dining option for hotel guests.
The Downtown Ithaca Alliance and Tompkins Chamber plan a ribbon cutting at the hotel at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7. The organizations invited community members, local business representatives and partners to attend.
The release described the restaurant as a casual tavern and sports bar. The hotel's current dining page lists weekday social-hour specials from 4 to 6 p.m.; diners can check the hotel for current menus and offers before visiting.
