The Cayuga County Council of Senior Citizens will host a forum in Auburn on Aug. 25 featuring two state aging-policy leaders.
Greg Olsen, director of the New York State Office for the Aging, and Becky Preve, executive director of the Association on Aging in New York, will discuss current and emerging issues affecting older adults and efforts to improve their quality of life. A question-and-answer session will follow.
The "Seniors Need to Know" event will run from 1 to 3 p.m. at Bluefield Manor in Auburn.
Registration costs $10 per person and must be paid in advance to cover the venue and refreshments. Reservations are due Aug. 17 through the Cayuga County Office for the Aging at 315-253-1226.
