Seneca County sheriff's deputies charged an Ohio woman with driving while intoxicated Wednesday after she was allegedly seen driving the wrong way on a one-way highway in Fayette.
Catherine M. Ainger-Benes, 40, of Broadview Heights, Ohio, was arrested at about 8:12 p.m. July 29 following a traffic stop, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies said Ainger-Benes was driving northbound on a southbound-only highway. A DWI investigation was conducted during the stop, and she was taken into custody.
Ainger-Benes provided a breath sample showing a blood alcohol content of 0.09%, according to the sheriff's office.
She was charged with common-law driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content above 0.08%, both misdemeanors.
Ainger-Benes was processed at the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center and released on appearance tickets. The charges are allegations, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
