A barn was destroyed in a fire along Route 96 near County House Road in Seneca County on Friday.
Crews from departments across the county and neighboring communities responded as the barn became fully involved and collapsed, Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire reported.
Waterloo firefighters established command at the scene, while Seneca Falls personnel handled operations, according to incident updates posted by the service.
The response also included Border City, Geneva, Varick, Romulus, Junius, Fayette and Oaks Corners firefighters, along with North Seneca Ambulance. Geneva personnel were assigned to a rapid intervention team before being cleared from the scene.
Updates indicated the fire was extinguished and crews continued working on hot spots. County highway personnel were requested to bring an excavator to the scene.
