Drivers on Route 332 between Canandaigua and Farmington should expect weekday lane reductions and delays beginning Monday for a pavement project, state transportation officials said.
The highway will be reduced to one lane in each direction between North Street in the town of Canandaigua and Loomis Road/Gateway Drive in the town of Farmington from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays.
The New York State Department of Transportation said the restrictions will begin July 27 and the project is expected to be completed by Aug. 21.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes when possible and use caution in the work zone.
Fines are doubled for speeding in work zones, and two or more work-zone speeding convictions could result in a driver's license suspension.
