A fire at Ultralife Corporation in Newark was brought under control Tuesday evening, according to News10NBC. Firefighters said no injuries were reported, and the cause remains under investigation.
The call came in around 5:56 in the evening, and Newark crews found smoke coming from the rear of the building when they arrived.
Firefighters said the fire was contained inside the building and did not spread beyond the facility.
Crews from Newark, Lyons, Fairville and Phelps helped extinguish the fire, which was reported out by about 7:15 in the evening.
Ultralife Corporation designs and manufactures batteries, chargers and other energy products.
