Family Hope Center in downtown Geneva remains open despite the temporary closure of the sidewalk in front of its building, the nonprofit announced Monday.
The faith-based organization at 551 Exchange St. is asking visitors to navigate carefully around construction barricades while continuing to use its walk-in services.
The center offers free pregnancy testing and confidential support, diapers, baby clothing and other supplies for families. It also provides parenting and life-skills classes, teen girls groups, community activities and ongoing support.
Executive Director Jennifer Grace said the sidewalk closure would not stop the organization from providing resources and encouragement to area families.
The center is also serving as a summer cooling station from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Air conditioning and cold water are available without an appointment during those hours.
Regular center hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Thursdays. Most services are available on a walk-in basis.
