A Bath man was charged after police investigated a domestic incident and later took him into custody on a parole warrant, according to the Bath Police Department.
Police said officers were dispatched to a Charles Street residence around 11:19 p.m. June 27 for a report of a man trying to enter a residence.
When officers arrived, they determined the man was a resident of the location. During the investigation, police said they learned of an earlier domestic incident that had occurred at the same address around 5 p.m.
Kyle B. Krisher, 43, of Bath, was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, a class A misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, a violation.
Police said Krisher refused to cooperate during arrest processing and was additionally charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, a class A misdemeanor.
Krisher was taken to the Steuben County Jail for centralized arraignment and was released, according to police.
Police said Krisher is a five-time convicted felon in New York and was under supervision by the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. On June 29, he was located and taken into custody on a parole violation warrant.
Krisher remained incarcerated at the Steuben County Jail, police said.
