Fireworks sparked a shed fire on Green Street in Seneca Falls late Saturday, but firefighters stopped the flames before they spread to nearby structures.
According to officials the Seneca Falls Fire Department and Seneca Falls Police Department responded at 10:11 p.m. July 4 to a reported fully involved shed fire at a residence on Green Street in the town of Seneca Falls.
Firefighters arrived quickly and brought the fire under control before it spread to surrounding homes or property.
An investigation determined the fire was caused by a firework being used by residents of the home. Officials said one firework landed near the shed, igniting combustible materials and causing the structure to catch fire.
No injuries were reported.
