Two juveniles arrested after Seneca Falls stabbing investigation

Two juveniles have been arrested after a Seneca Falls assault investigation involving a stabbing and a BB gun, police said.

The Seneca Falls Police Department said officers responded around 10:20 p.m. May 20 to investigate a reported assault involving a stabbing that had happened about an hour earlier at a local trailer park.

Police said one juvenile suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken by helicopter to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Investigators determined that two juveniles were involved in an altercation that began while they were engaged in illegal drug activity, according to police. During the incident, one juvenile discharged a BB gun and struck the other juvenile.

Police said a physical fight followed, during which one of the juveniles stabbed the other multiple times.

One juvenile was charged June 29 with second-degree menacing and third-degree assault. The second juvenile was charged June 30 with first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Both juveniles were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in their respective courts at later dates. Police said no additional identifying information will be released because the case involves juveniles.
