A Webster man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop Wednesday night in Palmyra, deputies said.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Troy B. Lubberts, of Bay Road in Webster, was stopped around 9:51 p.m. in the town of Palmyra and charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, aggravated unlicensed operation and DWI.
Deputies said they noticed signs of impairment during the stop, including the odor of an alcoholic beverage and watery eyes. Lubberts performed standardized field sobriety tests and later provided a breath sample showing a blood alcohol content of 0.08%, according to the sheriff's office.
Lubberts was processed at the sheriff's office and released with appearance tickets.
He is scheduled to appear in Palmyra Town Court at a later date.
