Motorcyclist injured in collision at Route 38 and River Road in Conquest

Emergency crews responded to a reported crash involving a car and motorcycle Tuesday in the town of Conquest, according to reports from Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire.

The collision was reported at the intersection of Route 38 and River Road, prompting a response from Conquest and Victory rescue personnel, along with Jordan Ambulance. Initial reports indicated the crash involved a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle. Emergency responders arrived on scene shortly after dispatch.


As crews assessed the situation, Life Net was initially requested to respond as a medical helicopter. Port Byron firefighters were assigned to establish a landing zone at the Mentz Town Hall to accommodate the aircraft if needed.

However, according to updates from the scene, the helicopter was later canceled. Incident commanders determined that ground transportation would be sufficient, and Jordan Ambulance transported the injured patient from the scene.

The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries and the circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately available. Additional information has not yet been released by emergency officials.
