The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office released a series of recent arrests tied to traffic stops, probation violations, warrants, and harassment complaints across Schuyler County.
Mary I. Balcerak, 65, of Watkins Glen, was arrested following a traffic stop April 16 on County Road 16 in the Town of Dix. Deputies charged Balcerak with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. She was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Dix Court.
Edward R. Norton, 51, of Elmira, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree after a traffic stop April 19 on State Route 14 in the Village of Montour Falls. Norton was issued uniform traffic tickets to appear in Montour Falls Village Court.
Nancy Case, 51, of Burdett, was arrested April 21 on an outstanding probation violation warrant from Schuyler County Court. Deputies said she was arraigned in Schuyler County CAP Court and released.
Ashley M. Decker-Cornish, 32, of Beaver Dams, was arrested April 23 on an outstanding arrest warrant for violation of probation issued through Schuyler County Court. She was remanded to the Schuyler County Jail.
Ryan M. Bishop, 26, of Alpine, was arrested April 30 on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear issued by Town of Dix Court. Deputies said Bishop was arraigned in Schuyler County CAP Court and released pending a future appearance in Town of Dix Court.
Jonathan J. Henry, 44, of Burdett, was arrested following a complaint on State Route 414 in the Town of Hector. Henry was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated harassment. He was arraigned in Schuyler County CAP Court and remanded to the Schuyler County Jail.
