A narcotics investigation in Wayne County led to the seizure of cocaine and methamphetamine and the arrest of three Savannah residents following the execution of a search warrant earlier this week.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said deputies executed a search warrant May 13 at a residence on Savannah Spring Lake Road after investigating the alleged sale and possession of narcotics at the property. During the search, deputies said they recovered approximately 90 grams of cocaine and 24 grams of methamphetamine inside the home.
Authorities identified those arrested as Micheal A. Welch, Bill E. Ridley and Chyenne M. Gonyeau, all of the Town of Savannah. Each was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.
According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation stemmed from previous cases involving Welch. Deputies said the agency has investigated five felony narcotics and weapons cases involving Welch dating back to December 2025.
The Wayne County District Attorney’s Office assisted in the investigation. All three suspects were transported to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment.
