The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office will host an open house recruiting event later this month for people interested in careers as deputy sheriffs in the agency’s custody division.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office Training Building on County House Road in Auburn.
According to the sheriff’s office, attendees will receive tours of the facility and have an opportunity to speak with staff members about careers within the custody division.
Officials said participants will also be able to complete applications for the upcoming online examination during the event.
Applications are also available online through the Cayuga County Civil Service Employment Portal. The sheriff’s office said employment opportunities will depend on applicants’ training and experience.
The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office described the event as part of its ongoing recruitment efforts for corrections and custody positions.
